5-star Garage Tech customer review rating

When I called and asked to have someone come and give me a quote to remove my old garage door opener and install a new one she just asked me a few questions and then told me what the price would be for the new opener along with installation. The price she quoted me was very reasonable. I asked if they could also adjust my other garage door while the installer was here and she said no problem. James the install did and excellent job on both the install and adjustment of the old door. Now when I open either garage door I have to look at the door to make sure it is opening because they are so quiet. I will definitely refer Garage Tech to anyone.

5-star Garage Tech customer review rating

I have worked with Garage Tech on multiple occasions over the course of about 5 years. Garage Tech has installed garage doors in my two homes as well as a shop. Not only am I greatly satisfied with the quality of the product and installation work, but also, I am impressed by the company’s level of customer service. In situations where many other companies would justify their right to charge the customer more, Garage Tech was very receptive to and agreeable with my viewpoint (although they could have easily justified the opposite in my situation). I’ve also noticed that the culture of such superior customer service is not limited to the owner or management only but is permeating the entire company. I did not have to “escalate” my take on the situation to the leadership of the company (as I normally have to with many other organizations). Instead, being able to simply express my viewpoint to the receptionist and technician I worked with had seamlessly propelled my intentions and request to the leadership.

I would highly recommend Garage Tech to Everyone!

Garage Door FAQs

Repairing a garage door, choosing a replacement, or deciding what to do with an older opener can raise a few questions. Here are answers to two that often come up when homeowners are weighing their options.

  • Can my garage door be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?

Many garage door problems can be repaired without replacing the entire door. Broken springs, worn rollers, damaged cables, track problems, opener issues, and some types of panel damage can often be addressed individually.

Replacement may be worth considering when the door has extensive damage, recurring problems, poor insulation, significant wear, or has fallen behind what your home needs today. Garage Tech can evaluate the existing door and help you understand the practical options before you decide.

  • Should I replace my garage door opener when I install a new door?

Not necessarily. If the existing opener is in good condition, properly sized for the new door, and operating reliably, it may be possible to continue using it.

An older or unreliable opener may be worth replacing at the same time, particularly if you're interested in quieter operation, updated safety features, battery backup, or smartphone connectivity. We can look at the opener along with the door and explain whether keeping or replacing it makes sense.

Knowing When to Call for Repair

Garage doors often develop changes in the way they sound, move, or operate as parts begin to wear. A door may become noisier, hesitate during operation, move unevenly, or require more effort to open and close.

These changes are worth having checked early. Springs, cables, rollers, tracks, hinges, and opener components all work together, and wear in one area can affect how the rest of the system operates and wears.
